Looking at the sky,
Gazing at the stars,
In the moonlit darkness,
Suddenly he remembered someone afar.
A face he has seen growing,
From a little doll,
To a damsel like a flower.
He remembered every moment,
Though those moments are afar.
The smile that snatched his heart,
and made him live alive,
The little boy could understand,
hardly anything.
Standing in the corridor,
waiting to see her glance or glimpse,
Happy, his little heart would feel,
seeing her walking down the streets.
The little boy couldn't understand?
Every little of her essence,
Why caused so much of difference?
He wanted to tell something,
What could he tell he never knew.
When everytime he spoke,
His two little lips fumbled,
His tongue too toppled,
The little boy couldn't understand?
What he's talking about, is it fear?
He waited for a while,
"Now is not the time.",said he.
That little while, went for a mile.
Neither days nor months could stop thee,
and years went by.........
When suddenly realised ,did he,
In a lengthy letter,
He expressed it out to her.
He waited for some time,
One day,two or three.
When the reply came,
As expected was the same.
He smiled and closed the mail,
And still looked contented.
Though his earnest attempt,
went all in vain.
He was no more little,
and could understand it all.
Nothing on earth stays permanent,
Neither me nor you.
All times and moments we spend,
Memorable though are very few.
The charisma of love is fascinating,
Some call it attraction too.
At least this boy has a story to tell,
That he had been in love too,
Rejection and acceptance,
are both rights, respected of every being.
On this earth without love,
Living life sounds nothing.
